Move sequences are automatically highlighted and made clickable. If the previous move number appears earlier in the comment, the sequence continues from that move. Otherwise, it's treated as a variation from the main line. This can be error-prone with multiple sequences in one comment, so please use the Preview button to check your work before posting.
To force a sequence to be treated as a main line variation, precede it with a vertical bar
(|). The copy variation button (β§) includes this bar automatically.
For more complex discussions, you can name a sequence by adding the name in square
brackets at the end, e.g. 15.p9 [a]. Later in the same comment, or in
any following comment, you can branch off that variation by wrapping the name in vertical
bars, like this:|a| 16.o13
The variation name must start with
a letter, contain only letters, numbers, and dashes (-), and is case-sensitive.
Comments use UTF-8 encoding, so you can include emojis π, non-English characters, and other Unicode symbols.
You can also use HTML entities like — for an em-dash (—) or → for a right arrow (→).
For safety reasons, most HTML tags are stripped, except:
<b>, <i>, <u> β bold, italic, underline<em>, <strong> β emphasis, strong text<s>, <strike> β , β superscript, subscript<blockquote> β indented quotes
<code> β fixed-width font<pre> β multi-line preformatted text
<br> β forces a line break
I probably should have done |11.h18 or something similar. I didn't think of |15.g18 16.e15 17.c16 18.d13.
certainly |20.u12 21.v12 22.t14 23.v16 24.w11 wins for black, but after
|20.u12 21.v12 22.u16 23.v15 24.v14 25.w13 26.w11 27.s13 28.s11 29.q12
white seems to be doing well. mc.
Someone recently did this sequence to me, catching me by surprise with both moves, and I don't think I'll ever forget it now. I thought about resigning instead of playing 19.u14, but it was such a recent lesson that I wanted to test black and see if they knew the sequence.
Peyrol, do you like |13.d18 better than |11.h18?
