I'm not sure how things went so strongly in my favor so quickly. I already felt pretty confident as of |9.k18. I could see that |10.l1811.j1612.j1913.e18 worked. Victory. My only regret is that it would have been stronger to place the Q15 peg (|19.q15) earlier. Klaus didn't have to play the |18.h20 peg that gave me a second chance to do that. But it didn't come in handy anyway, so it is a very small regret. My path to the top border was probably already assured.
I just wish I knew how I got such a strong upper hand. That |7.k14 peg created a linear commitment, which was a pretty gutsy move against Klaus. It's worth noting that Klaus has been preoccupied with other things in life lately, and at the time of this writing, has been out of the Top 10 a few times. Still, I don't see a mistake by him here.
