I cannot claim certainty in the opening, but black Q6 seems too close the right, too far from the left. My personal preference might have been any of |4.p9 or |4.p8 or |4.p7.

In terms of local tactics, white's N9 cannot be prevented from reaching the top.
|6.m7 would have offered more resistance than M6, but after 7.m8 white still wins locally. For example 8.l9 9.l10. Instead, it would have been better for black to play the whole board on move 6, and attack white somewhere else, such as between the white pegs on Q12 and S21.

Black had an opportunity to pose white some problems with |12.o12. For example 13.o13 14.n14, or 13.o11 14.p14 15.n13 16.n15. White would have been forced out of his "right side comfort zone" and would have had to play on the left, for example with 13.g13. White probably still would have had a winning position, but at least you would have made him work harder for it.

Consider what would have happened if black did not play M6 on the top first, but the game went |6.s17 7.o17 8.o12. This would have been much better for black, since it would still be possible for black to make threats to win across the top.

But after white N14 I don't see any way for black to stage a defense.
