Mirko mentioned |25.j16 instead of H9, and then after 26.h12 27.i7 28.t21 29.k14 looks strong for white. But black can play instead 26.j12 and for example 27.i7 28.t21 29.k14 30.n14 or 27.o23 28.i6 29.h5 30.h4 31.g3 32.h8

Maybe 9. t19 is a crucial change in situation.

As for the opening moves, it seems to me that early on, White was already committing too strongly to making a line down the right side. It's hard to say anything for sure in opening moves, but how about |7.i12, for example? If you saw the threat of o8, you could have also foreseen the flanking peg at g7, and i12 works well with that: 8.o8 9.m9 10.m7 11.k8 12.k6 13.g7 (the bastard). In fact, maybe |5.i12 would have been even better. Of course, I haven't played much Twixt in a couple of years, so I could be missing something.

Thanks Alan for your comment. I agree with what you are saying. One (the?) important reason for the early commitment is in the game history between David and me: There are similar situations. However, I guess I lost those positions more than I won.
