I think 4.n11 and similar moves are frequent mistakes. Colors are swapped not the board, so the positions must be mirrored diagonally - as the first move. Black blocks itself from the left and keeps white open up and down.

How big a mistake is 4.n11? Does black have any reasonable response to, say, |7.q15?

How big a mistake is 4.n11... This is a good question, and actually, I'm not sure about the answer.
What about 7.q158.o8 ?
Something like 18.e17 would have worked 19.l12 20.m12 21.m10 22.m9 23.m14 24.k10 25.l11 26.i9 27.g8 28.h8 29.i7 30.j7 31.e7 32.f9 33.d9 34.d10 35.c11 36.c12 37.b13.
Also nice 18.e16 19.e14 20.l12 21.c19 22.d18 23.e18. All this too easy for Thierry.
Maybe 7. l14 gives better chances.
What about 7.q15 8.o8 ?
