In this game, I was worried about |20.k16. Just out of curiosity, would that move have resulted in black winning the game?

Probably. There is no way for White to guarantee a line to the top thru R9 after |20.k16. You have to fall back on defense, though there's not much space left. For example, 21.g15, which connects well to C7 (after 22.h1623.h1724.g1425.f13, I mean). It still looks weak, but may be worth trying.
For example, 22.g12 23.f13 24.e11 25.h12 26.i11 27.j11 28.k10 29.j17 30.m15 31.l13 32.j14 33.j12.
Or 22.h19 23.j17 24.m15 25.e16 26.g12 27.e12 28.f10 29.d10 30.e8 31.c8 32.d5 33.d6 34.g17 35.d18 36.e20 37.h16 38.h15 39.i14 40.l19 41.h20.
See, it's not over. There is probably a winning sequence for Black, but no guarantee Black will find it.
